3 Hot Design Trends For Summer 2022

Summer is right around the corner and, I don't know about you but, the warm weather always has me feeling inspired to revamp my home design. There's just something about the sunlight shining through the windows and the promise of long summer days on my patio that makes me want to give my home a little makeover.

If you've been daydreaming about giving your space a summer refresh, you're in luck!

I've rounded up three of the hottest design trends for the summer of 2022 that you're absolutely going to love.

Fun Outdoor Furniture

Swinging Day Beds

Nothing screams outdoor oasis like a beautiful, swinging day bed. They're the perfect spot to curl up with a good book or to take an afternoon nap on a sunny day. You can decorate them with brightly-colored pillows and a throw blanket to create the perfect little lounging nook.

Long Outdoor Tables

Gone are the days of eating all of your meals indoors. Long outdoor tables are perfect for that summertime dining, and you can even add some fun string lights overhead for a little extra ambiance. Imagine hosting a family-style feast with your friends featuring all of your favorite summer dishes.

Go BIG With Bright Colors

Bright colors are definitely having a moment, and there's no better time to incorporate them into your design than during the summer. Whether you go for a bold statement rug or simply add some colorful accents, pops of color are the perfect way to inject some life into your space this summer!

Wallpaper

Anyone that knows me knows that I am wallpaper's number one fan. I just love how a single accent wall can completely transform a space and make it feel so unique and special.

I always suggest going for a design that speaks to your personal style, but if you're not sure where to begin, you can never go wrong with a floral design. My go-to vendor is Manolo Walls, and, lucky for you, all of my clients receive a discount on their stunning collection of one-of-a-kind wallpapers!

Plants

Last but not least, plants are always a design trend that I am here for. Not only do they add some life and color to your space, but they also help purify the air and boost your mood. Win-Win!

I like to recommend getting a mix of both real and faux plants so that you can have the best of both worlds. Fake plants are great for those that don't have a green thumb, and, let's be honest, they're practically indistinguishable from the real thing these days.

If you're a diehard plant-lover like I am, you can buy art with plant motifs, furniture made of plants (like rattan, jute, or wicker), or even get some cushion covers with leafy patterns.

So, there you have it! Three of the hottest design trends for summer that are sure to breathe new life into your home this season.
