3 Colors I Am Excited About For 2022

Can you believe it's 2022?

I don't know about you but my assessment of time the past few years feels so off!

Years are passing slowly and also in the blink of an eye.

2022 is bringing a nature inspired influence in many areas of interior design and the colors I am most excited about are right in line with that theme. Each of these selections have subtly warm undertones and compliment so many spaces. So without further ado...

What are the 3 colors I am excited about for 2022?

1) Sherwin Williams Evergreen Fog

This is the Sherwin Williams Color of the Year for 2022 - and rightfully so! This color is fantastic mix of green and gray. Subtle enough to add as a neutral to any room, but just enough character to not be boring.

Imagine this color in a master bath. Clean white towels next to this green-gray hue sounds like the best match for that spa-like environment. I would also love to see this paint color paired with a few natural wood elements, too!

2) Benjamin Moore Baby Fawn

I will be the first to tell you I was not so sure about this color a year ago. I have a client's home in FULL REMODEL right now and when we were making selections in spring/summer 2021 they really wanted a color that would bring some warmth to their home!

We went back and forth on so many options and ultimately landed on Benjamin Moore's Baby Fawn. At the end of the year I toured the progress in their home and let me tell you this color is THE COLOR! It compliments so well with their high ceilings and white trim. It's an absolute stunner! I can't wait to share photos once all the construction is complete.

If you are considering selling a home this year, this color would be a great one to use throughout your home! It has re-sell written all over it. The color is a perfect mix of warm and cool and will please any buyer.

3) Sherwin Williams Isle of Pines

Who is in the mood for a little drama going into 2022? Me too! I am all about adding a tasteful statement color this year. This color is dark, but not too dark. Has a warm and friendly tone, but still leaves just enough edge to add a little something to your space!

I would love to see this color in the back of a bookshelf, on an accent wall in a home office, or even in an entryway. Green is a color known to bring energy, abundance, and growth. Who couldn't use a little of that this year? This color will pair so well with whites, creams, and natural wood tones. And if you really want to add some drama, use this tone in a fun wallpaper. Yes, please!

The best thing about all of these colors?

They pair with both cool and warm palettes. Could you see adding one of these colors to your home? Let me know in the comments where you plan to use it!
